In business since 1994, NYKC is a small company with a narrow focus: we are journeyman BCU certified sea kayakers that guide kayak trips, teach sea kayaking, manage a kayak club, and sell kayaks, paddles and gear. We have also developed a Stand Up Paddleboard curriculum and we sell SUP boards, gear and accessories.

We sell kayaks from Impex, Necky, Ocean Kayak, Nelo and Valley Canoe products. We are very proud that we were selected to be the North American Distrbutors of Tiderace Sea Kayaks - the latest designs by Aled Williams that set the new benchmarks for high performance sea kayak design and lay-up quality. Demos are available by appointment.

We offer our customers a thoughtful selection of high quality gear, apparel, and accessories, along with timely delivery and competitive pricing.

We gladly ship internationally. All prices are in US dollars. A $20 service charge will be added to international orders under $100 to cover the cost of the export paperwork. International customers are responsible for any duties or customs clearing charges their orders may incur.

On the Water
* Experienced or a beginner, we have classes and tours that are fun and informative.
* Our kayak fleet for the club, instruction and tours includes a variety of roto-mold and composite decked boats - we're sure to have a kayak that fits you.
* Our guides and instructors are well trained and certified by the British Canoe Union.

We are currently off-season, please contact us directly for Instruction and Tour appointments.

On Shore
* Our shop inventories the best boats, gear and instructional materials that we can find.
* We use the products we sell, Our recommendations are based on experience.
* Participation in the NYKC Club provides you with easy access to a kayak so you can get started without the expense of purchasing a new boat and free of concerns about maintenance or storage. You can take part as a full member, or select from an a la carte menu of equipment and facility options.

Retail Store hours:
Tuesday through Friday from 10 to 6, Saturday 9-5. We are closed Monday and Sunday (open by appointment only).
